Now he looked at her sideways. “You don’t think I look like a Shadowhunter any more?”

“Do you want to?” Cristina asked.

“I want to look like my family,” Mark said. “I cannot have the Blackthorn coloring, but I can look as much like Nephilim as possible. Besides, if I wish to be part of the investigation, I cannot stand out.”

Cristina held back from telling Mark that there was no world in which he didn’t stand out. “I can make you look like a Shadowhunter.”

Not really, the movie is a terrible adaptation of the book. It’s disappointing as a fan. I like the actors and that’s about it. The movie is okay if you put the differences aside. I watch it because the actors are good at their parts and it’s the only thing we have. Some stuff was changed for time, and I get that but other stuff is unnecessary. I also think they made it too much of a young teen movie, and the books don’t have that vibe. My biggest comparison is the Percy Jackson books and movies. Awful movie adaptions but they’re good in their own way separate from the books. But I enjoy seeing the characters on screen and the movie is funny. But I think it could have been so much better with another script and director. I didn’t hate it but it’s a little disappointing as a fan of the books.

Definitely agree! Unnecessary changes and too many plot holes in the movie. I was disappointing being a book/series fan…
